Swim Meet

April 22nd was Tyaan's swim meet against Ontario High School.

This is the school with the girl who is faster on the 100 fly than Tyaan. Tyaan lost to her last year in finals. She went in to this meet expecting to lose by several seconds. Here is her race and you can see how it came out. It was very exciting!



As you can see Ty kept right with her and finished a second behind. She got her best time ever (tying her best from last years finals) of 1:13. She was thrilled!

This was also another chance for her 4x100 team to qualify for CIF. Here is the video of that race.





As you can see they made it!


Tyaan got her best time on her split of 1:02. What's really interesting is that since she is the first swimmer they will time her for her 100 and she can qualify for CIF in the 100 free which is an event she doesn't even swim for her high school team. 1:02 is CIF time so if she can swim it again before season ends and gets timed for it she could go to CIF for that as well!



It was a great meet for Tyaan as well as the teams. Both boys and girls won the meet leaving them still undefeated for league. Tyaan's times were excellent, she actually dropped time on her 200 also, meaning she's beaten her best ever for the last 3 meets.

Her times were:

4x50 medley split :32 (tied her best)
200 free 2:19 (best ever, dropped 2 seconds from last week)
100 fly 1:13 (best this year, tied her best ever)
4x100 relay split 1:02 (best ever)

What a kid!
